A Tribute to Richard in Celebration of His 100th Birthday
Dearest Richard,
September 18, 2025: “This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it!“ Psalm 118:24
Today truly is a most special and important day for all of us to be joyful with gladness, because it is your Birthday!
Thinking back to September 18, 1925–that was a very special and important day, too! That was the day you were happily born into this world—an amazing 100 years ago!
Since then, you have lived a life that has been very interesting, meaningful, and fulfilling; and quite impressive we may add.
You are the husband of your high school sweetheart, your dear Ruby, with whom you were happily married for 59 years.
You nobly served your country in World War II and were an engineer by profession.
You are the proud father of four wonderful children: Jimmy, Larry, Kathe and Chris.
You have 10 grandchildren and multiple great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
You have countless extended family members and friends who love and respect you.
Your 100th Birthday today is extraordinary!
Your life‘s longevity is a remarkable feat, considering males here on Earth are fortunate to be given the gift of life lasting longer than 77 years in the United States, and 71 years globally.
A U.S. male’s probability of living to be 100 years of age is only 0.48%, or slightly less than 1/2 of 1%.
To highlight how unique you are, there are 8.2 billion people here on earth and your lifespan happily exceeds 99.5% of them!
You certainly are in elite company with your age: you are essentially without peers. You are in rarified air, comfortably gliding above the pinnacle of Mount Everest.
We are so happy and honored to be able to celebrate your Birthday with you today!
Accordingly, and most respectfully, we believe you should now be forever known as Fearless and Resilient Richard Molineux, Proud Patriarch of the Molineux Family, and devoted husband, father, grandparent, uncle, brother, son, grandson, and very special friend, with ICONIC DNA!
We wish we could be there in Texas with you all to celebrate your incredibly special birthday. It was not meant to be, but we are there with you in spirit!
In closing, here is a favorite, pondering poem of ours that we would like to share with you on this heart-warming occasion:
Yesterday is history, Tomorrow is a mystery, Today is a gift from God, That is why it is called the Present.
Richard, on this, your dearly memorable 100th birthday, please know you are truly the most special Birthday Present all of us could ever wish to receive!
Happy Birthday, Richard! With our love and warmest wishes, always,
Steve and Luzi Thanks, and have a great day
